The position
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for the maintenance of pumps, welding and troubleshooting of plant equipment and machinery. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Fault/maintenance diagnostic activities and complete repairs to ensure continuous operation
- Overhaul and maintenance of pumps, heat exchangers and valves
- Pipework and occasional modification of pipelines
- Clean and maintain the condition of workshop and spare parts store
- Ability to work overtime in case of brake down and plant shutdown as required
Skills and experience
- Mechanical Fitter qualification/ Certificate III in Engineering
- Forklift license and EWP license
- Strong background in maintenance, servicing and repairs
- Fabrication and Welding skills (Tig, Mig, Arc and Oxy Acetylene Welding & Cutting)
- Sound experience fitting and troubleshooting in an industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience in fault finding and repairing a range of machinery
