RBY Workstars is currently seeking an experienced Indigenous Sheetmetal Tradesperson to work for a well-known manufacturing company in Logan!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Confirm fabrication requirements from drawings
• Prepare a fabrication task
• Undertake general fabrication tasks
• Undertake welding
• Assemble fabricated parts
• Undertake polishing and finishing
• Quality control
• Perform basic computer tasks
• Undertake housekeeping

Key Skills and Abilities You Possess:

• Skilled at geometric development, measuring and marking out
• Skilled at using relevant hand tools
• Skilled at TIG welding
• Skilled at developing and using jigs
• Ability to maintain PPE and report/replace defective items
• Ability to complete an incident report
• Knowledge of metal types
• Knowledge of relevant abrasives, polishes and chemicals
