The Role
We have an immediate opportunity for a Field Service Technician with 5-6 years' experience to join our talented team. The chosen candidate will provide technical service and support to our clients in the FMCG food packaging and processing industry.
The Technical Support Department is primarily responsible for installations, commissioning and maintenance of tna manufactured equipment, across Australia.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage Product Trials and completes installation & machine commissioning in accordance with the client's specifications and layout documentation
- Provide routine maintenance and planned servicing of tna equipment in accordance with service contracts and schedules
- Provide training to customers (and co-workers) in relation to proper operation, preventative maintenance, and fault finding of tna equipment
- Provide first, second and third level support, in relation to breakdowns and/or customer queries, responding by either telephone or site visits, and within set timeframes.
- Promote the value of tna's original spare parts and upgrading with new equipment by providing and distributing information, verbally, electronically and by brochures, and assisting the Sales Managers' as required
- Provide input and feedback to the Product Development Team, relating to product modifications, faults and development potential
- Communicate the benefits of Service Contracts to clients and assist the Sales Managers' in formulating the Service Contract as required
Desired Skills & Experience
- Qualifications in electrical, industrial electrical trade or other relevant field
- Disconnect/Reconnect certification
- 5-6 years servicing experience with a focus on installation, repair and testing of electronic and mechanical equipment
- Experience in a field engineering role, dealing with mechanical, electrical and software issues is considered highly
- Exposure to the FMCG manufacturing industry (specifically food and packaging) is advantageous
- Working knowledge of current market trends and competitors
- Fully competent in industrial electronic & power theory and schematics
- Industrial software programming
- Understands PLC / PC
- Mechanical Aptitude, methodical and well organised
- Ensures a collaborative approach and is able to seek and listen to feedback
- Self-motivated and driven, able to work unsupervised
- Identification with tna values including being a team player, passionate, professional, committed, honest and treat people with dignity and respect
- Able to handle multiple time sensitive projects, be flexible and work accurately & efficiently under pressure
- Able to develop, build and maintain strong relationship with customers, management, co-workers and suppliers
- Able to problem solve & make decisions in line with organisational philosophies and practices
- Must have permission to work in Australia
- Valid Driver's License and own reliable vehicle
- Valid passport with a minimum of 6 months until expiry
- Upwards of 80% travel, at short notice, both locally and nationally, including some weekends
