Based in our Darra workshop in Brisbane, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling components into completed, high quality earth-moving attachments; including preparing and fabricating components ready for welding, and welding the fabricated components. You will ideally have experience in an engineering production environment and a basic knowledge of hydraulics.
Key responsibilities:
- Assembly of components
- Interpret engineering drawing and specifications to manufacture components by fabrication of profile parts and MIG weld
- Fabrication, basic machining and welding of profiled components and rolled steel parts to drawing specifications
- Preparing, priming, painting of fabricated items to a consistent high standard, ready for packaging and dispatch
- Prioritise daily workload and tasks adhering to Production Schedule
- Complete and document QA on all product
- Delivery of all product in full, on time and in specification
- Catalogue and maintain records on location and quantity of items in stock
- Complete monthly stocktake
- Use of forklift
- Keep the work area neat and tidy
- Work to and achieve all KPI's
Desired competencies, personal skills and experience:
- Strong assembly skills and understanding of mechanics
- Basic hydraulic understanding
- A team orientated individual who has a good work ethic and is focused on outcomes
- Proven ability to be able to work effectively on their own
- Good memory, problem solving and organisational skills
- Agile, responsive and good under pressure
- Good written, verbal and client facing communication skills
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Absolutely trustworthy and dependable
