- Assist with maintenance and development of outdoor learning environments
- Work at existing services and on new projects as needed
- Support and guidance provided with opportunities to work independently
Discovery Early Learning Centres provide education and care to children 0-12 years of age. We believe that outdoor, nature play provides a rich context for learning and therefore pride ourselves on establishing and maintaining outdoor environments that allow children to explore nature and take supported risks.
The position is initially part time for a fixed term of 12 months with potential for ongoing employment.
The successful applicant must be available for at least 2 days per week, but an upcoming project will require 5 days per week availability.
Applicants must have:
- Maintenance and Landscape Gardening experience
- Sound working knowledge of equipment used in landscape gardening and maintenance and ability to use them safely
- Ability to take direction and work independently when required
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration or the ability to obtain one
- Current Driver's License and reliable transport
