We are looking for a self-motivated Service Technician to join our service team to deliver our service in Victoria, based in Melbourne, and the surrounding area. The main responsibility of this role is to maintain and service all makes of compressors, vacuum units, dryers including ancillary equipment at customers’ sites, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical control faults in both service and breakdown situations. Be available for the phone roster and carry out after hours calls as required. In addition, the suitable candidate is expected to consider the needs of our customers and recommend long term, preventative maintenance solutions in line with our OEM recommendations and service product portfolio.
It is essential that applicants have:
- Mechanical trade qualification (dual trade or restricted electrical license would be an advantage)
- Excellent diagnostic skills and hands on experience with the repair, service and maintenance of compressors
- Passion for maximizing customer satisfaction
- The ability to be on call and travel to site
- A valid driving license
- Good communication skills
- PC skills
- Dedication to product performance
- Good presentation and effective organization and communication skills
- Aptitude to promote Atlas Copco service products to our customers
- Applicants with refrigeration and/or electrical experience will be highly regarded.
- To comply with health and safety measures of both the Company and customers, including undertaking additional training when required
The role would suit a mechanical tradesperson who is looking to develop their skills. A high level of customer service, time management and technical knowledge are required for this role. A strong commitment to safety and dedication to follow occupational health and safety requirements is essential. Applicants with refrigeration and/or electrical experience will be highly regarded.
In addition to being able to deliver professional technical competence and excellent customer service, candidates must have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and willingness to promote new services and solutions to the market.
