Our client is a highly respected company and is located in Nth Ryde they specialise in the development of prototype machines for the printing industry.
About the Role
You will be working Monday – Friday 38 hours per week.
As a Fitter and Machining Apprentice you will be required to complete a Certificate 3 in Engineering MEM30205
Your roles and responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Perform engineering measurements
- Apply principles of occupational health and safety in the work environment
- Plan to undertake a routine task
- Apply quality systems & procedures
- Work with others in a manufacturing, engineering or related environment
- Interact with computing technology
- Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices
- Perform general machining
- Perform lathe, milling & grinding operations
- Interpret technical drawing
- Mark off/out (general engineering)
- Use hand tools, power tools/hand held operations
- Maintain and overhaul mechanical equipment
- Perform fault diagnostics, install and remove bearings
- Repair and fit engineering components
- Maintain and repair mechanical drives and mechanical transmissions
- Balance equipment
- Perform levelling and alignment of machines and engineering components
- Shut down and isolate machines/equipment
- Perform installation and removal of mechanical seals
- Perform manual heating and thermal cutting
- Undertake manual handling
About You
The person we're looking for is enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable. But most of all we are looking for candidates that have a passion for completing a Certificate 3 in Engineering.
