The purpose of this role is to conduct bodywork inspections, by inspecting vehicles in accordance with pre-defined inspection standards and agreed time frames.  The inspector provides detailed vehicle condition reports to various vendors on any required repairs, general wear and tear and mechanical faults to give the seller the opportunity to rectify any faults or defects with the aim to maximise the profitability of their vehicle. This is a customer facing role that requires a high attention to detail and an ability to keep up-to-date with vehicle models, repair methods and best practices.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Book-in and inspect vehicle damage and prepare detailed vehicle condition reports.
• Ensure data accuracy is maintained within inspection based programs.
• Carry out off-site inspections as required for a variety of vendors.
• Liaise with administration staff regarding book-in times and relevant documentation.
• Quote repair amounts for required inspections and liaise with rectifications team.
• Helping clients with any requirements they may have regarding their received inspection.
• Assist Rectifications Team with fitting parts, detailing and general cleaning as required.
• Meeting contract and book-in times allocated by all clients.
• Adhering to strict procedures and KPI's to ensure inspection standards and procedures are implemented correctly.

 Essential Skills

• Current manual driver's license
• Qualification in Panel Beating, Spray Painting or Mechanics.
• Exposure to working in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of body damage, repair times and methods
• Have good written, verbal and computer skills
• Be able to make clear decisions and work autonomously  
• Professional appearance
• Willing to work outside
