• Castlemaine location DIDO opportunities | 6 month assignment with potential for permanency
• Pay rate negotiable depending on experience
• Flexible hours between 7am and 3.30pm Monday – Friday. Overtime available

An opportunity for an experience Fitter to join a Global manufacturer supplier of Pumps, Valves and Seals. There are opportunities to be multi-skilled within the workshop and to travel offsite to oversee commissioning projects.

We are now offering drive-in, drive-out opportunities for candidates, this will include paid accommodation 5 nights per week. Overtime work and penalty rates are also available.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Disassemble, clean and inspect pumps and decoking equipment.
• Quotation of repairs.
• Liaison with customers and suppliers on costs of repairs.
• Taking pictures and documenting the process.
• Assembly and preparation of pumps for shipping to the customer.

To secure you this role you will have:

• Trade Certificate or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as a Fitter, preferably with pumps and rotating machinery.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 20 kilos.
• Forklift and overhead crane certifications are advantageous.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills, able to problem solve and priorities work assignments.
• Must be able to work overtime hours where required.
