Our service team supports our ANZ customer base from our head office in Lane Cove Sydney and our second service facility located in Heatherton Melbourne.
Brands we support include Pfeiffer Vacuum, Vacuubrand, Gatan, Huber, SP Scientific and Heidolph.
Our customers include research institutes, universities, government organisations and the general scientific industry.
Role Responsibilities and Deliverables include:
- Perform equipment repairs
- Conduct on-site installations of complex equipment, adhere to test procedures to ensure operational performance and compliance
- Schedule / conduct on-site preventative and remedial maintenance visits
- Provide troubleshooting, repair support to Scitek customers and other field and service personnel, for example OEM manufacturers
- Cultivate, develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, system users and Scitek colleagues
- Quotation of repair costs and parts estimates via our ERP system
- Prompt completion and submission of service reports
- Comply with WH&S guidelines on-site and off-site
- Communicate with suppliers as task required
- Travel domestically to complete on-site repairs and internationally to undergo detailed factory product training
Role Requirements:
- Refrigeration and Electrical Licence required
- General Engineering / Mechanical or Science background acceptable
- 3+ years Service work with Refrigeration experience
- Vacuum technology or surface science experience preferred but general scientific instrumentation experience is also accepted
- Australian Citizenship or PR required
- Ability to pass Security Clearance checks as required
- Valid class 'Technology
- Absolute Commitment to Customer Satisfaction
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Proven ability to Diagnose, Troubleshoot and Repair complex systems and sub-systems down to a component level
- Ability to Read, Interpret, Implement Electronic and Mechanical schematics drawings
- Willingness to Support our Sales efforts
- Excellent Verbal, Written and Comprehension skills, with a friendly interpersonal approach to effectively communicate and liaise with customers, suppliers and Scitek colleagues across all business levels
- Literate in Windows software environments
