A Global Civil Construction Materials Testing organisation is currently looking for keen and driven candidates with a trades or civil construction background to come on board and be trained as onsite Concrete Field Technicians for their branch based in the Ryde area.

The normal hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm. There is an expectation of overtime and weekend work, for those hungry for the extra hours and penalty rates. The hourly rate will start from $27+/hr pending previous experience.

Expected duties:

• Attending civil and construction sites around Sydney Metro
• Handling of wet concrete to extract into concrete cylinder moulds to take back to the lab for testing
• Liaising with project and site managers whilst visiting sites
• Following testing methods and recording clear and concise results
• Some lab work but mostly out in the field onsite
• Weekend work and overtime may be required

Successful candidates will:

• Previous experience is highly regarded but not essential
• Have a trades, civil or construction background
• Drivers licence – manual preferred
• White card
• Strength of character and capable of pushing back on difficult site or project managers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
