Our client has a strong presence within the mining sector and are seeking skilled Diesel Fitters to join their busy workshop and field service team based in Mackay. 

The role:

• Equipment assembly
• Maintenance on heavy earthmoving / mining equipment
• Commissioning and testing of equipment before site delivery
• Attending site breakdowns / site deliveries
• Meeting deadlines (submitting documentation, client orders and more)
• Providing excellent customer service 
• Quality assurance
• Monday to Friday (great work / life balance)
• Accommodation provided when on site

To be successful:

• Trade Qualified Diesel Fitter with a minimum of 3 years' post Trade experience 
• Standard 11 & current Coal Board Medical
• Any mining inductions (BMA, Thiess, etc)
• Great understanding and hands on experience on heavy earthmoving machinery (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, etc)
• Well developed communication skills - both written and verbal
• Safety conscious - maintaining high level of workplace health and safety standards
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously
• Have reliable accommodation in or located in Mackay
