  • Salary range $64,079 - $72,437 plus super - dependent on experience

This role will develop, implement and oversee a preventative maintenance program for Melbourne Zoo. Leading a small team the Specialist Preventative Maintenance position will initiate and contribute to the ongoing development of preventative maintenance of built assets and all Zoo assets. The role has a strong customer service focus and will contribute to developing highly cooperative relationships within the Operations Department as well as Life Sciences and Visitor Experiences.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in developing a preventative maintenance programs
  • Experience leading a team to achieve key objectives as well as managing competing priorities
  • A proven ability to prioritise, implement and complete scheduled work requests
  • General trade experience across multiple disciplines- welding and mechanical experience advantageous
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge, experience and open support of OH&S procedures and work place safety
  • A current driver's license
