The Role
We have recently been awarded the Sydney Airport Airside and associated grounds maintenance service contract, which includes landscaping, grounds upkeep, litter collection and airside repairs. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, we are seeking a Maintenance Team Leader/Supervisor (Airside) to join our team and look after the following, with the ability to be hands on;
- Ensuring pre-starts on plant are carried out following health and safety guidelines and in accordance with Airport (Airside) Safety standards.
- Conducting toolbox talks engaging the team in safety, Driver accreditation on small plant (lawn mowers, sucker trucks, sweepers etc.) and multi-skilling operators.
- Planning and coordinating daily, weekly and monthly work requirements for day, afternoon and night shift works.
- Supervision of safety, quality and environmental requirements to meet Sydney Airport Corporation Limited and Fulton Hogan requirements
- Effective people management, including involvement in recruitment, selection, engagement and the overall performance management of grounds crew.
This position will suit experienced candidates with strong people, leadership skills and have the ability to jump on the equipment and help out to get the job done.
About You
To be successful in this position you will require the following skills/experience;
- Previous experience working within an airport or similar.
- The ability to communicate across all levels of the business (crew to client)
- Have a practical and have a hands-on approach
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results
- Be able to complete an Airside, Security Induction Card, including Federal police and medical clearance.
- Flexible for call out on afternoon and night shift coverage as required
