Our client in the food industry seek a hands-on Trades Assistant to join their team. This opportunity on offer will give you sense of achievement and every day can change.   Primary Purpose of Position 

• Perform routine and unplanned tasks  
• Assist with scheduled maintenance where required and directed 
• Assist tradesman with general maintenance task across the factory 
• Deliver and collect maintenance materials from suppliers
• Undertake machine set ups as required
• Machinery set up and die changes to suit production 
• Blade sharpening 
• Work on multivac machines changeovers
• Dismantling machines for access for cleaners 
• Participate in all maintenance and improvement work as required 

Main Accountability's

• Work as part of a team 
• Ensure safe work practices are followed
• Ensure and assist in the department meeting productivity and quality goals
• Ensure and facilitate communication between the department and the supervisors, managers and staff of other departments
• Ensure that a high standard of house keeping is maintained
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Hygiene Practices

Personal Attributes/Skills Required

• Must have mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Strong maintenance planning experience in a food or FMCG or industry preferred
• Excellent communication skills

On Offer

• Day and Night shift available
• Night Hours: 10:30pm - 7:00am x 1 position available
• Day - 6:00am - 2:30pm x 2 positions avaiable
