About the Role
We have a position for an Experienced Ceiling Fixer, with proven history working on projects including track and stud framing, linings and flushing, T-bar and rondo ceiling suspension systems and finishing trades.
We can offer successful candidate a wide range of opportunities including, pure framing and lining construction, commercial fit outs and linings, remote works, industrial upgrade and maintenance works, covering a broad range of building trades.
Reporting to the Trade Manager Facilities and onsite Project Managers, your main responsibilities will be ceiling fixing trade based work, ensuring high quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and understand architectural and structural drawings
- Ability to understand and follow work orders, drawings, written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Perform general framing and linings construction, flushing, building maintenance, building modifications and demolition
- Aluminium partition works
- Working with timber and steel framing
- External CFC cladding installation
- Track material usage for individual or combined projects
- Responds to on-call emergencies before / during / after normal hours of operation
- Must have broad range of own hand tools specific to trade
Skills and Experience
A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a qualified ceiling fixers, strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a safety focused approach to work are essential. You must be prepared to work away and comply with police check and drug testing requirements.
