We are currently seeking a qualified Fitter and Turner/Machinist for one of our locally owned and operated clients in Rockhampton. This is a casual ongoing position with the possibility of leading to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Applicants will need the following skills and attributes to be considered for the role -
• Must have a Fitter and Turner trade certificate and post mechanical trade experience
• Experience with engine reconditioning is an advantage
• Demonstrated experience with metal spraying and cold welding
• Must be available for an immediate start
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate at all levels with a can do attitude
• Must be able to work away from home if required
• A strong commitment to work place health and safety
• Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
