Job Description

We are pleased to have been awarded significant electrical works to install cable ladder, brackets, lighting, electrical monitoring devices, terminations and verification testing of adhoc electrical equipment in the M4 east tunnel, near Homebush in Sydney’s western suburbs.

Working a 6 day roster, up to 56 hours per week we are offering a generous salary package including time and a half, double time penalty rates and a daily travel allowance. These are also direct employment contracts with SNC Lavalin including paid notice periods and other benefits associated with non labour-hire.

Please note these positions are only made available to local Sydney residents, based within a reasonable distance of the project location. No relocation, LAFHA or interstate candidates unfortunately can be considered.

Responsibilities

• Utilising your industrial/construction electrical experience to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently;
• Assemble electrical components as per site drawings;
• Construction and installation of cable ladder and tray, brackets and cabling;
• Installation of lighting, electrical monitoring devices and some signalling;
• Terminations (mainly LV) and initial verification testing;
• Show high regard for personal safety and the safety of workmates, ensuring your work area is tidy and free of hazards; and
• Supervise trades assistants or apprentices particularly in relation to workmanship and safety practices.

Education and Skills

• NSW unrestricted Electrical Licence;
• OHS Construction Induction card;
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test.

Desired but not essential:

• WorkSafe High Risk Licence (EWP >11mts);
• EWP Yellow Card (Scissor Lift
• Safe Working at Heights (nationally accredited and completed within the previous 24 months);
• Industrial or Commercial construction experience;
• Terminating, installation and testing experience in the industrial construction industry; and
• Experience in cable pull and installation of cable ladder/tray.
