• Permanent Full Time position working in various Adelaide locations

This newly created position will work across all ACH Group’s Residential and Housing sites ensuring optimal performance of the assets through routine and preventative maintenance and construction. Reporting to the Trade Team Leader you will have a hands-on approach to general maintenance and carpentry activities across all ACH Group assets. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Installation of structures and fixtures, such as windows and mouldings
• Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
• Contractor Management - oversee the work quality and behaviour of specialist contractors and volunteers on ACH Group sites
• Assist in the management of asset-related site hazard reports, by communicating and actioning where possible
• Prepare cost estimates
• Perform minor plumbing, welding and/or concrete mixing work
• Monday – Friday with occasional overtime and call outs
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of exceptional services, thereby supporting ACH Group’s promise of ‘Good Lives for Older People’

What will set you apart from the rest?

You must be able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to engage positively with a wide range of personnel to achieve desired outcomes. You will have a minimum 3 years’ experience working as a qualified carpenter. You will also hold:

• Certificate III in Carpentry
• A current WHS White Card for work safety
• A current Certificate of Competency in Test and Tagging of electrical equipment (desirable)
• Current Building Contractor Licence
• Current Drivers Licence
• A current “Working at Heights” certificate (desirable)

All short-listed candidates will be required to undertake a Functional Capacity Assessment.

A satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check no older than 12 months at commencement of employment is a requirement for all ACH Group positions.
