QMRC is a Cambooya based company specialising in the repair, overhaul and rebuild of heavy earthmoving and underground equipment. The Company has gained an excellent reputation within the resources sector for its expertise in rebuilding underground hard rock mining equipment.
QMRC is seeking to recruit a trade qualified Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic to be based in their Cambooya workshop and involved in repairs, rebuilds and component overhauls. The position requires a tradesman with high level skills, attention to quality, strong in hydraulics and an ability to work with minimal supervision or guidance.
QMRC offers an excellent work environment for tradesmen. The company has a strong focus on retaining their quality staff with the majority of staff having more than 10 years’ service with QMRC. QMRC has a loyalty bonus programme to recognise and financially reward their long term staff.
The workshop generally operates 45 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexibility.
There may be opportunities to undertake site work to deal with technical problems or to relieve QMRC’s site based staff during periods of leave.
