We are a specialist materials testing company, providing laboratory and field testing services to the civil and environmental engineering industry. Chadwick Geotechnics (Australia) and Geotechnics (New Zealand) are part of the Tonkin + Taylor Group, a specialist, employee-owned environmental and engineering consultancy.
The Role:
Reporting to the Laboratory and Quality Manager, the main responsibilities will involve undertaking field and laboratory testing for earthworks and geotechnical projects.
Duties will include:
- Field sampling and testing activities
- Soil sample preparation
- Laboratory analysis
About You:
You will require excellent communication skills, the flexibility to adapt quickly to change and your people skills will be second to none! You will have the passion to deliver work to high standards as well as:
- High attention to detail and quality
- Must have practical implementation experience and skills
- Knowledge and interest in Earth Sciences
- Willingness to use new equipment and processes
Candidates must have a Construction Induction Card (White Card), a valid manual driver's licence and preferably a Nuclear Density Gauge license - Interstate travel and project medicals may be necessary.
