We are currently seeking a maintenance fitter to join our South Windsor team. The successful applicant will be required to work an 8 hour rotating shift roster including day / afternoon and night shift.
Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager you will be responsible for providing maintenance coverage by undertaking preventative maintenance, attending plant breakdowns and troubleshooting.
You will have experience in fitting, machining and fabrication for the repair, maintenance, construction and installation of production equipment.
In addition to this you will be responsible for:
- Supporting manufacturing personnel in troubleshooting and analysis of production related equipment.
- Supporting capital engineering in the design, installation and commissioning of new capital equipment.
- Use MEX maintenance system to plan and schedule your breakdown and preventative maintenance requirements.
- Collect and record information as required into MEX in relation to maintenance records and job logs.
- Recommend changes to PM programs to improve reliability, speed and yield of production equipment.
- Monitor stock levels of spare parts and submit requisitions as required.
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Qualified Fitter and Turner (dual trade with electrical highly regarded)
- Minimum five years experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience and competency with machining, TIG welding (stainless)
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
