About the role:
The Meter Reader position involves driving to the start of an allocated route/ s and then moving on foot from location to location reading and logging data from electrical meters into a hand held device for commercial and domestic properties throughout the Central Highlands area. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and terrain, walking between 10km and 30km per day. This is a very physically demanding position where we work towards tight deadlines to deliver a high level of service standards.
What you will bring to the role:
- Must have a valid driver's licence
- A high regard for health, safety, environment and quality
- Ability to walk approximately 10-30 km each day
- Comfortable entering properties safely with animals
- Be reliable, punctual and be able to meet deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous meter reading experience would be considered highly desirable
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
