EXPERIENCED MACHINE SETTER/OPERATOR
with FITTER & TURNER TRADE QUALIFICATION
for role with National Manufacturing Group

• Located Northern Suburbs
• MUST BE - Trade qualified Fitter & Turner to be able to manage machine repairs & maintenance as required
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Manufacturer of Metal Packaging Products
• Circa $30-34 per hour depending on experience
• Day shift available (but must be flexible)

We are looking for an experienced Machine Setter/Operator to join our client. You must have worked in a similar role ... on a Production Line & have the mechanical aptitude to repair machinery if their is a problem.

You will be responsible for setting up machinery in line with production schedules, respond to breakdowns & repair as appropriate in an urgent manner, identify defects & report them as well as identifying improvements as necessary, ensure production lines are within appropriate standards to ensure safety of all operators. 

You will participate in all Lean manufacturing, safety & quality programs ensuring optimal physical work flow, handling, spoilage & wastage strategies are employed.  As an integral member of the team, you will attend regular meetings to ensure continuous improvement for production.
