Client - Aldi Prestons

Our client, a well-known supermarket brand located in Prestons is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic to join their maintenance team on an ongoing temp to perm basis. In this fast-paced role, you will be required to diagnose, service and repair trucks and trailers. You will work an 8am – 4:30pm rostered shift on a 9-day rostered fortnight (including weekends)

The Role

To be successful in this role, you will require the following:

• Trade Certificate
• Experience in truck and trailer repairs (working on minor repairs - service/ break-down diagnosis, electrical, body work)
• Proven experience with diagnostics
• Current minimum HR licence (HC preferable)
• Current forklift licence would be ideal, but not mandatory
• Ability to interact with suppliers, maintain and replenish parts
• Great work ethic/attitude
• A solid understanding of WH&S
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team member
• Attention to detail, punctual and reliable
