We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for our Geraldton/Mid-West operations. The main focus of this role is leading a team of skilled mechanics and maintenance staff to keep our modern fleet of Prime movers, earthmoving equipment and all mechanical equipment operational and serviced, maintained and repaired as needed in accordance with requirements.

The role is offered on a local basis (Geraldton area) working at our depot in Narngalu. A relocation package is available.
 
Specific Responsibilities

• Delegate tasks to direct reports in line with skill, knowledge and ability and where necessary identify skill gaps and training requirements.
• Ensure direct or contractor reports comply with Company’s and PPA policies and procedures before work is carried out.
• Ensure maintenance information is recorded and retained for future reference and auditing purposes.
• Develop and implement a site maintenance strategy for fixed and mobile plant assets.
• Deliver against end of year budget for maintenance departments
• Assist with Capex submissions within budget timeframe
• Assist with preparation and finalisation of monthly P&L reports
• Assist with Financial budget preparation
• Ensure appropriate HSE practices by site personnel at all times
• Ensure unsafe work practices are reported and risks are controlled to prevent further injury.
• Complete the Company’s incident reporting system for any actual or potential safety related incidents.
• Follow up on related safety incidents to ensure correct controls are implemented to prevent further injury.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five years management experience
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards
• Demonstrate advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point
• Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
• Ability to work well within a small team environment
• Demonstrate a strong customer focus using key business objectives coupled with an ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels is essential in this role, as are exceptional management and organisation skills.
• Experience working with Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment
• Experience in a heavy industry transport or mining environment
