ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to recent growth and expansion we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cad Operator/Draftsman to join our rapidly growing Australian operation. This role will include creating and modifying drawings along with coordinating with engineers to incorporate concepts, specifications and required information into suitable 2D and 3D drawings and models.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Detail joinery plans from architects’ drawings to enable joinery manufacture from cutting lists. Set-out projects and understand requirements from the clients perspective. Attention to fine detail and understand raw materials and lead times and coordinate site works accordingly. You must ensure the factory can build the joinery and site tradesmen can install it correctly
WHAT YOU NEED
- Creative Thinker
- Ability to develop building designs
- You must be able to work to tight time constraints with the ability to prioritise tasks successfully
- AutoCAD 2D & Solid Works
- Autodesk Inventor
- 3D modelling & developing workshop drawings from 3D Models
- Skilled in 2D drawings
- Technical publication experience (desirable)
- Developing Parts Drawings for Parks books
- AutoCAD experience
- Pytha experience
- Solidworks experience
- Background in manufacturing highly regarded
- Ability to read shop drawings
- Strong communicator with the ability to multi-task
