Eureka Landscapes is a multi-award winning commercial landscape contracting company, established in 1980, and currently employing over 200 full time staff on various projects throughout Queensland.
We are seeking people experienced in landscape construction to be based in Brisbane Region.
The successful applicants will join a Brisbane based Crew who are responsible for the construction of large commercial landscape and infrastructure projects.
The position is "hands on" and you will be working under the close supervision of the site Foreman and the Leading Hand (2IC) and occasionally running small 'satellite jobs'.
The projects involve both hard (concreting, stone work etc) and soft (planting) landscaping. Experience in hard landscaping, specifically concreting is a definite advantage.
All positions are full time permanent with the usual benefits of annual leave, personal leave, superannuation etc. Long sleeve shirts and PPE are provided and a Uniform Allowance is paid to cover long pants and lace up steel cap boots.
Duties include:
- Hard and soft Landscaping
- Placing and finishing concrete
- Turfing
- Fencing
- Drainage
- Paving
- Planting
- Assisting in fixing stonework and installing footings
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience hard landscaping, landscaping construction or building industry experience
- Ability to work harmoniously as part of a small construction team and assist in the development of other crew members
- The ability to understand architectural plans and accurately set out works
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
- Reliable and organised
- Current Qld Driver's License
- Reliable transport
- A demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment
- Current OHS Construction Induction (White Card)
- Certificate III Horticulture (Landscaping) (desirable)
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
