About The Role
The Technician role is vital to Team Merlin to ensure that all the fun and magic is being delivered at optimal level. Working within a small team, your responsibilities include planned and reactive maintenance throughout the attraction to ensure the day-to-day operation of the cinema, rides, and machinery is running smoothly, safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair and troubleshoot all aspects of the physical plant/facility equipment and machinery including: HVAC, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and plumbing systems as well as rides and themed attractions.
- Utilise hands-on knowledge and experience to solve problems to sustain minimal downtime of rides and themed attractions
- General attraction maintenance including but not limited to custodial duties, re-lamping & lighting systems, painting and wall repair, exhibit setup and takedown.
- Effectively prioritise and execute tasks in line in a high-pressure, guest facing environment.
- Contribute to an environment of continuous improvement through operational action plans
- Ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Security within the workplace and in line with the Group Policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About You
You will be highly self-motivated with previous maintenance experience; preferably hold a professional qualification in a mechanical or electrical field with experience maintaining a wide range of equipment including rides.
- Strong experience in a service industry, preferably in and of the following areas: animation, automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical/electronics, and networks.
- Demonstrated experience working within a team of technicians.
- Highest level of service in high-pressure/stressful situations.
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Passionate about customer service and ability to build rapport quickly and easily.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working days/hours - including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
