The Position

We currently have a leadership opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to play an integral part in managing the day to day operations at the Australian Sports Commission, located in at the Australian Institute of Sport in Bruce.

Reporting to the ACT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations and performance of the site and will provide visible leadership, direction and issue resolution at the front line of service, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness are maintained at a consistent level.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver operations excellence with an emphasis on rostering  to ensure the operational needs are met
• Direct liaison with client representatives and its customers
• Staff supervision and frontline performance management
• Front line response to operational issues
• Investigation and outcome reporting into security incidents.
• Communication & implementation of processes and procedures to enhance client service delivery.
• Promote security awareness, interacting with staff and key stake holders
• Creating, managing and evaluating the effectiveness of Standard Operating Procedures
• Provide 24/7 emergency response for all security, operations and facility related areas

Our successful applicant will be able to demonstrate and give working examples of:

• Being an effective, confident and influential communicator in both verbal and written forums
• Managing the day-to-day running of a security team
• A team player who will ensure the security team operates cohesively
• High degree of customer service experience, that will ensure an impeccable customer service experience for all
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain professional at times even under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• High degree of computer skills & experience in rostering for a team of up 20 security and administrational personnel
• Having a commitment to building a culturally diverse and inclusive workforce.

The successful application will be required to work on a rotational roster including a high volume of night shifts, and provide additional after hours support / coverage as required.

It is mandatory that you hold a current ACT Security Licence and have (or have the ability to obtain) an NV1 security clearance.
