The company
Digrite are the sole agents in Western Australia for the sale of Takeuchi Compact Excavators, Takeuchi Rubber Track Loaders, NorAm 65E Compact Graders, Atlas Copco Rock Breakers and Dig It's buckets and attachments. Digrite service, repair and supply parts for the complete range of products they sell.
The role
The Apprentice will be trained to carry out servicing and maintenance of compact excavators, at Digrite's workshop in Welshpool.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures;
- Perform work in a professional and courteous manner to their level of competency, which includes basic service work, diagnosing, hydraulic repairs, engine repairs, general repairs and replacing pins and bushes;
- Participate in and ensure effective housekeeping and maintenance of the Service Workshop; and
- Accept instruction and training provided by the Managing Director and Workshop Leading Hand.
The Apprentice will be required to undertake an Australian Apprenticeship, by completing training both on and off site to achieve competency under the formal agreement of the Training Contract. This includes:
- Participating in the development of a training plan;
- Achieving the competencies specified in the training plan;
- Completing any required training and assessment;
- Attending training sessions at the Registered Training Organisation;
- Participating in supervised workplace activities;
- Taking advantage of learning opportunities; and
- Maintaining a record of training.
Digrite will provide the successful applicant with a uniform, safety boots and safety equipment.
