About the Role
  
Our Richlands workshop is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Leading Hand.
  
The primary focus of this role is to provide leadership to a team of skilled employees who repair and assemble a full range of Caterpillar equipment. Currently this role is Monday to Friday with reasonable additional overtime as required.
  
In turn you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Provide leadership to ensure productive, high quality workmanship is delivered through the team
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Drive safe working practices
• Liaise with outside contractors and suppliers
• Plan and organise the team’s daily work requirements
• Monitor the time management of your team to maximise efficiency

About You
  
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

• Trade qualified Diesel Fitter
• Well-developed customer and communication skills
• Proven ability to supervise and lead a dynamic team of people
• A good understanding of HD repair processes and costs
• Ability to liaise with contractors and suppliers
• Able to assess projects and assist with quotes
• Quoting workshop repairs
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Intermediate computer skills, including experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (AX, SIMSi and SIS)
• Driven to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety
