About the Role

Australian Rail Track Corporation is a major national organisation responsible for managing infrastructure maintenance, capital upgrades and the movement of trains on interstate railway track across South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland, as well as the Hunter Valley coal rail network. 
  
At ARTC, Work Group Leaders are responsible for ensuring that maintenance activities are undertaken in accordance with defined standards and levels.  We are seeking applicants with skills and experience in leading and supervising a multi-skilled work group to allow us to deliver our preventative and corrective maintenance tasks across the rail corridor. You will coordinate the day to day provisioning centre maintenance operations, including safety, learning & development and resources.  

About You
  
We are seeking someone with Rail qualifications in track and civil or signalling and communications with certification in infrastructure inspection, assessment and repair, as well as;

• The ability to supervise and motivate a work group for effective performance.
• Sound oral and written communication skills.
• Well-developed problem resolution and interpersonal skills.
• Proven planning experience and the ability to work in an organised manner.  
• Current C class drivers' license and solid computer skills.
• Knowledge of Rail Safety Management and WH&S principles, and an ability to implement the principles.
