HunterNet Group Training Company in partnership with Metroll Newcastle is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as an Engineering Trainee.
This two-year traineeship will allow the successful applicant to gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate II in Engineering Production Technology.
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include;
- Completion of all practical and theory-based components of the traineeship
- Following all WHS policies and procedures
- Measuring & Interpret technical drawings
- Operating machinery
- Safety Awareness
- Customer service and loading products
- Moving stock
- Measuring goods with rulers and tape measures
- Cutting sheets to size
- Identifying colours and materials used within sheet metal
- Perform required daily pre-start checks on vehicles/plant and report any defects/faults
- Drive vehicles to their destination and unload/load stock in a cost-effective manner
To be successful you must have the following skills & attributes;
- Current Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
- Attention to detail & ability to take direction
- Willingness to undertake overtime when necessary
- Punctual and able to complete tasks on time
- Honest and have a good attitude
- Ability apply WHS principals
- Good customer service skills
A forklift licence and experience in similar positions is desirable but not required.
