We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced handyman or semi-retired tradesman to maintain out buildings and manage our fleet of vehicles on a part time basis working flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake a variety of tasks such as maintaining the watering systems, changing light bulbs, painting, building repairs, moving furniture etc.
  • General building maintenance and upkeep.
  • Engaging contractors and supervising works for larger building projects, i.e. building additional internal office spaces, installation of extra toilet blocks etc.
  • Liaise with our Property Manager to get larger issues fixed by the estate agents.
  • Liaise with garbage collection company to ensure services are regular.
  • Liaise with utility providers when required.
  • Manage the servicing of our fleet with the nominated mechanics.
  • Ferry cars to and from mechanics.
  • Liaise with Employees to make sure their vehicles are properly maintained and all mileage services are undertaken.
  • Assist the Managing Director with the paperwork and purchasing of new vehicles.
  • Ordering stock and receipting deliveries, packing deliveries for the Installation and PPE department.
  • Maintain stock levels in our ERP system.
  • Keep track of all invoices, vehicle paperwork, receipts etc. and liaise with the Accounts department to ensure correct payments are made and paperwork is accounted for.
  • Undertake all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the manufacturing and Install department as required.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in a Handyman or Property Maintenance role.
  • Have previous experience in obtaining quotes, organising contractors and monitoring costs.
  • Have intermediate computer skills.
  • Have experience in dealing with a variety external businesses.
  • Have the ability to use basic hand tools and carry out basic tasks such as sanding, drilling, installing shelves etc.
  • Have a “can do” attitude.
  • Be able to manage their own workload.
  • Be able to think outside the box to get jobs done.
  • Have a Forklift License (Desirable) or be able to obtain a Forklift License.
