Key Responsibilities
- Entering new and used stock into MEX
- maintenance of site plant and equipment
- Able to train others effectively
- Preventative maintenance
- Breakdown maintenance
- Entering of MEX reports daily
- Engagement of contractors
- Daily visual inspections of plant
- Bench work
- Maintenance of spare parts inventory
- Responsibility for OH&S procedures and protocols
- Other work as directed

Detailed responsibilities
The Maintenance Fitter is expected to use sound judgement when making decisions regarding the maintenance of plant with due regard to the health and safety of all employees.
Plant Breakdowns
The Maintenance Fitter is integral to ensuring that breakdown time when it happens is to be as short as possible.
This may involve a quick fix of plant to ensure production is maintained. A complete and thorough repair can be completed after hours or between shifts.
