About the Role
Working autonomously, the ideal candidate will be hands-on and have all relevant trade qualifications and previous experience with materials handling, packaging or process-related industries. General duties:
- Hands-on general plant maintenance activities every day, problem solving to minimise down time
- Implementing the Preventative/Routine Maintenance programs to achieve equipment and line efficiency
- Equipment monitoring and supervision of external contractors
- Scheduled safety checks, ensuring all tasks are performed safely
- Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems / processes
- Logging work into the maintenance system and ensuring relevant documentation is complete and accurate.
Skills & Experience
- Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics & schematics
- Fitting & turning experience
- Welding processes, blowers, conveyors, mixers, product storage and related product transfer equipment maintenance
- Packaging lines and associated equipment is preferable
Preferably we would like someone to work day shift, Monday to Friday.
