An opportunity now exists for a qualified Technician to join our brand new state of the art workshop at Kippa-Ring.

Job tasks and responsibilities

You are required to perform a range of engine & mechanical tests, to diagnose, repair and service as per our product warranty guidelines, company policy and workshop manager instruction.

• Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles
• Taking all necessary diagnostic steps to ensure the correct operation of vehicles sold under dealer warranty including the dismantling and reconstruction or replacement of faulty components
• Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and the suspension systems
• Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to the Service Manager and recording information using in-house databases or reporting systems
• Providing guidance and training to apprentice service technicians
• Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range
• Maintaining a safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialized equipment
• Ensuring the safe work practices of all Apprentice staff
• Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of vehicles to customers
• Providing high level customer service to the dealerships customers
• Other duties as directed

Skills and experience

• Current manual drivers license
• Qualifications as a Technician
• Current RWC license would be advantage
• Ability to work productively and efficiently in a team environment
• Highly motivated
• Customer Service focused
• Knowledge and operation of all relevant Health and Safety legislation
• Previous history working in a Jeep workshop would be an advantage
