The role of Die Setter, following necessary on the job training, will be responsible for working on the production line, visually inspecting and packing product, palletising and performing machine maintenance tasks systematically utilising Standard Work to maximize safety, quality, and Operating Equipment Efficiency. Working in a team environment the role will involve troubleshooting of any packaging, process or machine issues within production.

 The ideal candidate will have experience in a high volume manufacturing environment in a similar role, with preference for a candidate in possession of certification in Injection Moulding. The key functions will include:

  • Conduct machine/die set ups and change overs on Injection Moulding machines, ensuring efficiencies i.e. meeting change over standard time, scrap levels, etc.
  • Undertake Hazard identification and risk assessment processes and implement controls.
  • Report recurring defects/deficiencies with the product and/or machine to appropriate personnel and/or the shift management.
  • Perform production packing on machines, quality inspection of products and become multi-skilled across all tasks of a production operator.
  • Undertake machine maintenance, troubleshoot machine issues and liaison with the Engineering Department to improve machine capabilities and efficiencies.

    The successful candidate will have a high degree of initiative, strong communication and problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
