A leading council in the South Sydney area have a temporary role for an experienced and qualified Mechanic to work on a range of vehicle and plant.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Diagnostic testing of vehicles (light and heavy fleet vehicles) and plant
* Inspection of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness
* Identifying faults and undertaking repairs
* Responding to vehicle breakdowns
* Assisting with vehicle movements and relocations between council sites

Most work will be on diesel vehicles although some work with smaller passenger vehicles. Additionally you will be working with plant such as ride on mowers, tractors, bob-cats and blower vacs.

This role is commencing very shortly and expected to run for 2 months with the possibility of extension.

Salary is over $38 per hour - negotiable!

Candidates must hold relevant Trade Certificate and minimum of an MR Licence
