Panel Beater Apprenticeships - Warwick
Warwick, Queensland
All Trades Queensland is currently seeking Apprentice Panel Beaters, for various roles in the Warwick region.
Panel Beaters are currently in high demand in Queensland and we are looking for suitable applicants to start work with us immediately. You will be employed by us in a full-time Panel Beating Apprenticeship, earn a weekly wage and be exposed to all aspects of your trade.
As a Panel Beater you will learn to:
- Remove damaged panels and components by unbolting or cutting them away
- Repair damaged body panels with specialist tools and equipment
- Use measuring, mechanical and hydraulic equipment to restore vehicles to factory clearances
- Cut and join replacement sections or damaged panels using correct welding procedures
- Repair dents with plastic fillers and file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools
- Fit the repaired panels on the framework of the vehicle and refit body hardware such as door locks and door trims
- Replace badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels
- Realign chassis and body frames using chassis aligners and measuring systems
- Remove and replace accident-related mechanical items
- Remove and replace auto-electric components
- Help vehicle body builders to build custom-designed, specialty or vintage vehicles
To be eligible you must:
- Have a current Provisional Drivers Licence and a reliable vehicle
- Exposure to the Automotive Industry through work experience is highly regarded
- Able to demonstrate motivation and commitment in completing their apprenticeship
- Enjoy variety and a broad range of projects
- Have a keen eye for detail and can work with precision
- Can work independently and as part of a team
