We are currently seeking a hardworking and dedicated individual to join our Restorx team in the role of Restoration Technician. Our Restorx division provides both insurance and non-insurance related services and is uniquely qualified for addressing all aspects of contents and building restoration, including damage management of residential and commercial properties.

The Role: 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will provide structural and contents restoration services to clients whose properties have been damaged by extenuating circumstances such as fire, flood or malicious damage. Duties will include cleaning, deodorising and restoring carpets, furniture and other building contents, as well as cataloguing and transporting items when onsite restoration is not possible. This role will involve working a rotating roster, including some after hours and weekend shifts. 

On the job training will be provided and career growth opportunities will be available for the right candidate. Whilst we are searching for a Restoration Technician with water fire and mould experience, any Restoration experience will be considered, and additional training provided.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Attend water damage, fire damage, sewerage ingress and mould (with training) jobs
  • Perform all areas of mitigation and restoration works as required, including equipment installation and monitoring
  • Liaise with internal office staff, project managers and external clients
  • Prepare and present damage/inspection and inventory lists reports for insurers
  • Complete all necessary job documentation 
  • On-call allocation (roster)  
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Previous experience in hands on, physically demanding roles 
  • Background in Restoration (water/fire/mould) Ideal
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Desire to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work independently and within a team 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills 
  • Proactive nature and good work ethic 
  • Physical fitness 
  • Must have a valid & clean drivers licence
  • Must have a valid Paid Working with Children Check
  • IICRC course an advantage but not essential
