Genesis Landfill and Recycling Facility is part of the DADI Group of companies.
We are currently seeking an experienced mechanical fitter to join our growing afternoon shift maintenance team.
Hours of work:
- Afternoon Shift: 15.15 to 23.45
- Night Shift: 17.00 to 01.30
The role is based at Eastern Creek working in our MPC plant area; we are offering a full-time position for the right candidate.
To be considered for the role applicants must have:
- Trade certificate (Australian Standard);
- Proven history of at least 2 years working on conveyors, electric motors/gearboxes, screens, shredders, general fabrication/welding/grinding/cutting skills;
- Hold valid Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets;
- EWP Ticket;
- Current drivers licence and own reliable transport;
- Disconnect and reconnect ticket desirable but not essential.
Main duties include:
- Working with the team on our preventative maintenance plan and schedule with the Afternoon Shift Manager and Leading Hand;
- Carry out breakdown and scheduled maintenance;
- Ensure maintenance activities achieve maximum effective use of the plant and equipment;
- Ensure plant is greased as per manufactures standard;
- Working in a safe and productive manner at all times;
- Abiding by all the company’s requirements in regard to safety and environmental commitments and;
- Complete job cards raised by electronic pre-start software.
Pre-Employment Medicals along with Drug and Alcohol screening will be conducted as part of the recruitment process and you will be subject to ongoing random Drug & Alcohol Screening whilst employed.
