The Opportunity
We're currently looking for a FIFO Field Service Technician (HV Electrician) to join our Regional Labour Support Group based out of our Welshpool branch. This is a Perth based FIFO role with work predominantly in the Pilbara region, but also assisting our branches and other sites across Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Reporting to the department's Service Manager, the purpose of the role is to carry out maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment and ensure excellent customer service. You will be responsible for machine diagnostics and repairs, as well as the testing and adjusting of machine operation and monitoring systems. Additionally, you would be coordinating site based equipment maintenance projects, in particular, coordinating job requirements, following work scope and critical path.
 
This is a varied and challenging role providing dedicated Komatsu OEM support, with no set rosters. The point of hire is Perth WA and work can be split between FIFO assignments and our Welshpool branch.

The knowledge, skills and abilities we're looking for

• Relevant Trade Certificate - Electrical & hold a current unrestricted WA Electrical Licence
  
• Current Drivers Licence
  
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the design & function of Komatsu mining equipment
  
• OEM experience required such as Komatsu, CAT, Liehberr and/or Hitachi
  
• Field service / mine site breakdown/diagnostics/troubleshooting experience is essential
  
• A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work unsupervised and in remote areas
  
• Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised
  
• First Aid certification
