About the business
Q-Main is a family owned business that undertakes a wide range of works on gas and electricity utilities. Our depot is located in Kilsyth South from which we operate majority of our maintenance throughout Melbourne's South East.
About the role
We are currently looking to recruit candidates for different areas of our business including;
- An experienced EXCAVATOR OPERATOR for electrical fault works. Works that will be undertaken range from fault call outs, pole to pit works, trenching, planned outages, reinstating of work areas including concreting / asphalting / tiling, liaising with trades and the public. In addition to this, the successful candidate may be required to undertake various property maintenance tasks.
- A competent HANDYMAN that can undertake various works ranging from door repairs / replacements, fence repairs / installations, brick works, roof works, retaining walls, rust repairs, building repairs, concreting / asphalting and the list goes on.
- Some motivated CLEANERS / GROUNDS MAINTENANCE to undertake routine maintenance of electrical assets. Works required consist of mowing, spraying, rubbish collection, minor tree trimming, general cleaning of buildings including dusting, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping etc..
Salaries will vary depending on experience and performance.

Skills and experience
Applicants must have:
- Construction Induction Card
Desirable for applicants to have:
- Excavator Operator Tickets
- Current VESI Training
- Current Medium Rigid Licence
- Experience in the Gas / Electrical Industry
- Electronic Tablet Experience
- Self Motivated / Able to work alone
- Flexibility with working away from home (occasionally)
- Trade or Construction Background
Specialised training will be provided to the right candidate who can demonstrate relevant experience and skills. Applicants will also be trained on electronic devices to undertake OHS requirements and recording job details. Uniform, use of work vehicles and machinery, tablet and PPE equipment will be provided by Q-Main.
