Chelgrave Contracting and their valued client are looking for a Qualified Fitter and Turner with Roll Forming experience to join their Maintenance Team in South Brisbane for a 6 to 12-month Tenure with the opportunity for ongoing work.   

    Position details and requirements are:

• Minimum 5 years post Trade Qualifications with Roll Forming experience
• Basic computer skills – Record of all works are to be documented daily
• Rotating day & afternoon shifts – 38hr week
• Flexible with hours – overtime is essential, minimum of 8 hrs per week including Saturdays when required.
• Attendance at other sites within Queensland.
• Assembly, construction, installation & commissioning of roll formers and associated equipment
• Troubleshooting of machines, profiles and systems
• Understanding of basic hydraulics & pneumatics
• Light fabrication
• Follow the Company’s O.H. & S Policies, and understand your obligations under the O. H. & S. Act.
• Assist with Incident and Injury Investigations as required
• Carry out corrective action for identified problems and hazards:
• Identification, communication & elimination of hazards in the workshop area
• Maintain housekeeping standards at all times.
• Apply Contractor & Visitor Management Systems to relevant personnel
• Duties will be wide ranging, and fulfilling for those who are willing to take greater responsibilities. These include:

1. Trade work in the workshop and on the factory floor
2. Planning and procurement for maintenance work, process improvement projects, machine relocation and capital projects

  
Communication - Interaction

• The Applicant will need to liaise with the maintenance supervisor, Engineers, Machine Operators, Maintenance people and suppliers.
