ACE Materials Handling is seeking an enthusiastic candidate to take on the varied role of a store person & workshop labourer.
ACE Materials Handling is an Australian owned engineering and materials handling company that has been operating since 1991 with branches in Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Brisbane, Darwin and Townsville. We provide services to clients in all industries through servicing and maintenance of assets including cranes, mobile machinery and supply of materials handling equipment.
This is a full time casual position (38 hrs per week) with the possibility of a permanent position for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Overseeing incoming goods from suppliers.
- Performing general tasks around the workshop as well as the yard to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist Tradesman in the workshop as required.
- Ensure suppliers maintain compliance with delivery specifications.
- Check quantities of unpacked supplies against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Store, catalogue and distribute supplies by arranging for collection and delivery of equipment and or packages.
- Maintaining accurate records of all stores, material and equipment held; including provision for stock take and periodic audit.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with OH&S policies and procedures, and safe working practices.
To be successful you must be able to think outside the box and work well in a team environment.
To be successful in this role you must possess the following;
- Competent in operating an overhead crane
- Knowledge of cutting and marking our steel sections for our Fabrication team
- Efficient in the operations of a bandsaw
- Have a current Forklift ticket
- Must have own basic hand tools
- Have a manual drivers licence and reliable transport
- Work with minimum supervision
- Be familiar and compliant with current WH&S practices
