WPC Group is offering committed, talented and motivated individual’s a chance to become a 1st, 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice in the South Eastern suburbs of Victoria. Cultivate skills in growing and maintaining plants as well as public or private gardens and parks. There are multiple positions available as a Parks and Gardens Apprentice or 2nd or 3rd year Landscape Construction Apprentice.
About the role:
- Maintaining and preparing seedbeds and growing sites.
- Planting flowers, trees, hedges and bushes for commercial and residential properties.
- Setting out hardscape and softscape structures.
- Pruning and trimming hedges.
- Sourcing supplies.
- Spraying and dusting trees and plants to remove insects.
About you:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certificate II in Horticulture or Landscaping is beneficial.
- Outstanding team worker.
- Great communication.
- Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn and follow instruction.
- Attention to detail.
- Punctual, reliable, and consistent.
- A passion for the horticulture industry.
- Committed to attending TAFE.
- Passion for being outdoors.
- Ability to plan and multi-task.
- Ability to Problem solve.
- An eye for design.
