The Field & Workshop Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance servicing, troubleshooting, installation and critical support functions essential to the success of our customer operations and own equipment fleet.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Put safety first, every day.
• Complete mechanical diagnosis.
• Trouble shooting and repairs in our modern workshop or on customer’s sites.
• Perform preventative and/or breakdown maintenance tasks ensuring customer operations are up and running.
• Perform initial pre-delivery and start-up of equipment.
• Work with other team members to complete installation projects.
• Keep up to date with new product technologies and training.
• Be able to provide 24/7 on-call emergency services when rostered on.
• Establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate.
• Maintain and safeguard company-issued tools and equipment.
• Protect company proprietary information, manuals, and records.
• Timely and accurate completion of paperwork including field service reports, time sheets and expense reports.
• Keep all records and documentation up to date.
• Participate in skills and product training to expand your capabilities across our product range.
• Other duties as required.

JOB & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess a Relevant Trade Certificate – Fitter & Turner
• Experience servicing, troubleshooting, installing and maintaining mobile and fixed plant.
• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal English ability.
• Must have a valid driver license 
• Must be willing to travel locally and interstate for short periods occasionally.
• Must demonstrate superior problem solving skills. 
• Must have strong communication skills and be able to work with people of all levels.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
