THE OPPORTUNITY
In the role of Wet Fire Systems Technician, you will work independently and in a team to deliver new minor works, projects and reactive maintenance across our Sydney contracts. Given the rapid growth of The Company, this opportunity will develop your personal and professional skills with the prospect of career progression.
This is a full-time permanent position working across our sites in the Sydney Central area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, maintain and service all Wet Fire Systems and Fire Fighting Equipment
- Alterations to existing Wet Fire Systems
- Assist in the preparation of customer quotations & identifying remedial work
- Liaise directly with the client regarding service work
- Conduct routine inspection and servicing of Portable Fire systems and equipment (as required)
- Installation of Portable Fire systems and equipment (as required)
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong experience and understanding of AS1851 and AS2118
- Demonstrate experience working with Sprinkler and Hydrant Systems
- Demonstrate and understand process of installation, repair and testing
- Qualified Sprinkler Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
- Must present well, have great communication and customer relation skills
- Ability to mentor and train staff
- Australian Citizenship in essential due to the nature of the contracts
- Current Drivers Licence
- A current Defence pass (highly desirable)
- FPAS accreditation (desirable)
